Well folks, looks like another bad sign for Meg Whitman; Joe B. over at MS's drops this little morning bomb:
$140 Million Up In Smoke? -according to the FiveThirtyEight forecasting model, gubernatorial candidate Jerry Brown is now a 75% favorite to become the next governor of California.
Did you say FiveThirtyEight? Blog of the All-Knowing, All-Seeing, Baseball/Politics Statistician-Psephologist Geek NATE SILVER?
Not familiar with Nate? Here's a snippet of his Wiki:
In 2007 Silver began to publish analyses and predictions related to the 2008 United States presidential election under the pseudonym "Poblano." At first this work appeared on the political blog Daily Kos, but in March 2008 Silver established his own website, FiveThirtyEight.com. On May 30, he revealed his real name to his readers and dropped the "Poblano" moniker on his website.[4] By summer of that year, he began to appear as an electoral and political analyst in national print, online, and cable news media.
The accuracy of his November 2008 presidential election predictions – he correctly predicted the winner of 49 of the 50 states [FTW!-VD] – won Silver further attention and commendation. The only state he missed was Indiana.
Nate Silver! Baby, that's all you had to say! Sorry eMeg. Hell, you should have just sent me a check directly out of that 140 Large you spent like it was a Girl's Weekend in Vegas. Our own Cali stimulus! But nooooo ... dumbass. It's been real Meg... see you on the flip side.
